This project was a collaboration with Blacks, a leading outdoor equipment store, to create a series of five Instagram videos showcasing winter hiking essentials and trusted outdoor gear.
The first video introduced me and the series, featuring stunning shots from my hikes in the Ogwen Valley (Dyffryn Ogwen) within Snowdonia National Park (Eryri). I highlighted renowned outdoor brands including Berghaus, Merrell, Rab, Lowe Alpine, Lifesystems, and OS Maps, setting the scene for an informative and visually engaging series.
The second video focused on the importance of winter layering. I demonstrated how to layer effectively with an Odlo base layer, a Rab merino wool quarter zip, a Rab windproof and waterproof shell, and a Rab down jacket, showing how each piece works together to tackle the elements.
In the third video, I shared my hiking essentials, showcasing the gear I pack on every winter adventure. This included my go-to Berghaus waterproofs, a reliable water bottle, an OS Map, and a Lifesystems first aid kit, all packed into my durable hiking bag.
The fourth video explored the importance of quality waterproof gear, featuring Berghaus waterproof clothing and waterproof Merrell boots, essential for staying dry and comfortable on wet winter hikes.
Finally, the fifth video focused on choosing the right footwear. I highlighted the Merrell Accentor 3 boots, showcasing their performance and comfort on rugged terrain.
Everything was shot on my Sony A7 III, allowing me to capture crisp, high-quality visuals that brought the beauty of Snowdonia and the functionality of the gear to life. This project combined my skills as a professional photographer, videographer, and content creator to deliver engaging and practical content for outdoor enthusiasts.
